From data to action
Research is only as good as what it reveals and the knowledge gained. We strongly believe that providing pure data is not enough. Through the 'So What' test we apply our consultancy skills to analysis and validate the data applicable to each client and their situation. |
Context
We establish the current background and assess the culture and stakeholders. This refines the research objectives and clarifies the key deliverables. |
Research methodology
We combine the most appropriate primary and secondary research methods to meet the brief and objectives.
Secondary research includes desk research of published articles, experts and industry gurus. |
Primary research includes our action research sets that we term 'research whilst doing'. We conduct interviews and focus groups for smaller numbers. For large responses we design questionnaires and conduct surveys. |
We provide structured or functional benchmarking exercises to review internal processes or competitor analysis.
Analysis
Our research is analysed and evidence evaluated using thematic coding techniques. We identify key trends and insights and also formulate initial comment, recommendations and conclusions. Our clients are then presented with structured findings.
Review
We build long lasting relationships with our clients. We see the results of our research and as we understand the context and client situation we can act as additional resource to the team that can be easily drawn upon. |
Output
We provide the final output tailored to a client's specification so that it can directly used in business cases or proposals. We can also present the findings ourselves if this is appropriate. |
Validation and further research
Through our experience we know the importance of validating what we present to our clients. At times this highlights conflicting evidence. Our clients may then want to further investigate different aspects. |
